Building Market-Ready Medtech Beyond the Algorithm

  1. Jan 22, 2026

At Axcellant, we work where medtech becomes real, not in headlines but in clinics, documentation, and decisions that must stand up to scrutiny. We start with a simple test: will this technology work in real workflows, support clinicians under pressure, and meet regulatory expectations without compromise?

Congenital heart defects in fetuses and newborns leave little margin for error. Conditions can be missed, outcomes can change quickly, and clinical teams need tools that are clear, reliable, and practical. This is where AI can add real value, but only when it is built with discipline and a clear path to implementation.

That is why we partnered with Prometheus MedTech.AI, a Polish medtech team developing AI-based medical software to support earlier and more consistent detection of congenital heart defects. Our role is to help turn strong science into a solution that can be deployed at scale. We focus on the fundamentals, including regulatory strategy, clinical evidence planning, documentation readiness, and fit with healthcare workflows and IT environments.

An important step in this journey came on the U.S. regulatory track. During an FDA pre-submission process, the FDA confirmed the proposed regulatory pathway and study strategy, providing clarity for the development programme and reducing uncertainty as the solution moves toward U.S. certification.

The broader story behind this collaboration, and Prometheus’ path toward the U.S. market, is captured in a recent feature on XYZ by Mariusz Bartodziej. We invite you to read the full article and see what it takes to move from medical need to market-ready execution.
